The lineup for the 10th annual Riot Fest was announced this week, with installments in Chicago, Denver and Toronto. Chicago boasts the largest lineup with smaller, similar lineups for Denver and Toronto. While most festival lineups announcements have become predictable and anti-climatic, Riot Fest has delivered a truly unique lineup with some impressive star power.
Riot Fest Announces Unique Lineup
Adding to the unique nature of this lineup, 10 bands will be performing classic albums in full. Those performances will include Jane’s Addiction playing its debut, Nothing’s Shocking, The Offspring performing Smash and Weezer reviving The Blue Album–the latter two are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Slayer, Samhain, NOFX, Descendents, Naked Wraygun, the Get Up Kids and a TBA mystery band will also perform entire albums at the festival.
This certainly provides a much-needed break from the homogeneous lineups that flooded much of the 2014 festival season.
Riot Fest will take over Chicago’s Humboldt Park on Sept. 12-14. For info on tickets and the Toronto and Denver dates, click here.
