Danny Brown played a free in-store set at Rough Trade NYC last night. The newly opened record store occupies a former HBO prop warehouse in North Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The multi-level 15,000 square foot space is now the largest record store in New York City. While most of the space is dedicated to records, there is also a cafe, exhibition space, and a 250-capacity performance space, which is hosting many notable upcoming concerts.
Danny Brown Breaks In the Stage at Rough Trade NYC
Danny Brown broke in the new space with a short, but energetic set. The rapper kept the energy up with his signature personality and drug-reference heavy lyrics. The last three songs were from his newest album Old, which was released in early October. The space wasn’t filled to capacity, but the energy in the crowd was high for the early evening on a Tuesday.
