Sasquatch! Festival Cancels Second Weekend

Earlier this year, organizers for Sasquatch! Festival revealed that this year’s event would take place over two weekends (May 23-25 and July 4-6) in George, Wash. Unfortunately, the festival has announced that it will cancel its second weekend due to poor ticket sales. Artists slated to perform that weekend included Soundgarden, Kraftwerk, Frank Ocean, New Order, Neutral Milk Hotel, Broken Bells and more.

Sasquatch! Cancels July Dates Due To Ticket Sales

In a statement regarding the cancellation, Live Nation President Jeff Trisler said:

“The Sasquatch! community has spoken. They continue to support the traditional Memorial Day Weekend event with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the second weekend was not embraced. We felt it was better to cancel the new event now and give everyone time to make alternative plans for the Fourth of July weekend. Going forward, Sasquatch! Music Festival will be at the Gorge Amphitheater on the weekend the fans want: Memorial Day Weekend only.”

Ticketmaster will be refunding all tickets bought for Sasquatch’s second weekend. Tickets to the Memorial Day Weekend edition are still available through the festival’s website.
