The National are perennially busy, it seems. Though their latest LP, Trouble Will Find Me, came out about a year ago, they’re still getting gigs on The Tonight Show, as they prepare to release a new documentary film. These guys are so consistent, it’s hard to argue with their popularity, regardless of what musical affiliation you subscribe to. Last night’s calming performance of “This is the Last Time” was bolstered nicely by a string section. Give it a watch after the jump.
The National Perform on Fallon
On top of all the attention, The National still have plenty of shows left on their tour. My intuition tells me they’ll be taking a much-needed break after all of this, so don’t miss a chance to catch them live (hey, they’re getting old). In the meantime, check out the performance below and a bonus trailer for their documentary, which is already getting some impressive reviews. The film is out today and playing at select theaters.
