Watch: Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) Performs with The Roots on Fallon

It is Rock and Roll Hall of Fame week on The Tonight Show. Last night, Jimmy Fallon welcomed Yusuf Islam (the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens) who performed a medley of his seminal hits “The First Cut Is The Deepest” and “Wild World.” Later, the legendary folk singer performed “The Wind” as an online exclusive.

The first performance features The Roots as Yusuf’s backing band, further proving that The Roots may be the most prolific band in the world. Yusuf tackles his second performance alone with an acoustic guitar.

Yusuf Islam will be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday night at the Barclays Center. Tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show will feature Stevie Nicks performing a tribute to inductee Linda Ronstadt and a sit-down interview with Nirvana’s Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
