Denver Broncos: Cleveland Browns:

The Denver Broncos look to dominate the AFC West for another year as they head to Cleveland to take on the Browns who are merely looking to make positive movement in the AFC North. The experienced Bronco team will go against a fairly young but fast Cleveland Brown team behind the new starting QB Johnny Manziel. Formerly known as Johnny Football or Money Manziel, the new starter for Cleveland will look to make big plays against a tough Denver defense. But the QB situation in Denver is a different story as Peyton Manning attempts to make a playoff run before father time comes calling. The talented Denver offense will look to get past an improving Browns defense led by Joe Haden. With two strong defenses, this game will prove to be a good AFC matchup to watch.

December 23, 2012 Sports Authority Field at Mile High (Denver, CO)

Denver Broncos: 34 Cleveland Browns: 12

The playoff bound Denver Broncos host a struggling a Cleveland team late in the 2012 season as the Browns try to improve their record with a win in this AFC matchup. Peyton Manning starts off the first half leading his powerful offense with two touchdown passes; one to Demaryius Thomas for 22 yards and the other to Eric Decker for 10 yards. All Cleveland can come up with in the first half is a Phil Dawson 27 yard field goal as they're down 14-3 heading into the half. Cleveland answers early in the second half with another Dawson 53 yard field goal. But the combination of Manning to Decker strikes again for an 8 yard touchdown as the third quarter ends. The Broncos continue to put up points in the fourth as Matt Prater hits a 27 yard field goal. And Denver continues to pour it on following the field goal with a Jacob Hester 1 yard touchdown run. But the Browns continue to fight as they get their first touchdown of the day on a 6 yard Colt McCoy pass to Greg Little and a failed two point conversion followed. Prater really put the game out of reach with another field from 41 yards out as the Broncos win 34-12.

January 17, 1988 Mile High Stadium (Denver, CO)

Denver Broncos: 38 Cleveland Browns: 33

This historic game is thought of anytime when the Broncos and Browns meet for a game. The 1988 AFC Championship game where the Browns were only yards away from playing for a Super Bowl Title. With the Browns down late in the game, they had come within a touchdown with minutes left in the game. As Cleveland was driving, they made it down to the 8 yard line. And just when it seemed like the Browns had all the momentum, everything changed. QB Bernie Kosar handed the ball off to RB Earnest Byner who had an opening to the endzone; but just before he crossed the goalline, DB Jeremiah Castille stripped the ball and forced a fumble which the Broncos then recovered. As the Broncos had possession, they allowed a Browns intentional safety and went on to win 38-33. Cleveland fans left the stadium crushed as they were yards away from the Super Bowl. This game featuring "The Fumble" is continually talked about when it comes to Cleveland's success in the playoffs or lack thereof. Luckily, Earnest Byner went on to have success in his NFL career and went on to have better seasons with better teams; but not the same can be said from the Browns as they're still looking for that trip to the Super Bowl.
