Two struggling teams meets as the Chiefs travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. scoring begins late in the first quarter as Josh Freeman finds Mike Williams for a 62 yard touchdown pass. Kansas City puts its first points on the board in the second quarter with a Ryan Succop field goal from 38 yards out. The Buccaneers take control in the second half with an early touchdown from Freeman to Vincent jackson for 19 yards. With later in the second quarter, the Buccaneers score again on a 78 yard pick six by Ronde Barber. The beginning of the fourth quarter has the Chiefs down big as the get a blocked punt for a touchdown, but the Chiefs scoring would end there as the Buccaneers continue to put points on the board until the end of the game. Connor Barth puts up a 27 yard field goal to increase the lead. As the fourth quarter continues the Buccaneers score two more touchdowns on a Freeman pass to jackson for a 17 yard touchdown and a Legarrette Blount touchdown run for 12 yards as the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs 38-10.

Being in two different conferences (AFC & NFL) a Chiefs vs Buccaneers game is a very rare occurrence. But in this matchup we are treated to close overtime game. Kansas City looks hot early as Tyler Thigpen throws a 7 yard touchdown pass to Dwayne Bowe and later in the quarter Kolby Smith runs in a 1 yard touchdown. With the second quarter beginning the Buccaneers begin with a Matt Bryant 25 yard field goal. But the Chiefs stay hot as Thigpen finds Mark Bradley for a 37 yard touchdown pass. Connor Barth also adds a 39 yard field goal for the Chiefs. On the kickoff after the Barth field goal, Clifton Smith returns the kick 97 yards for a kick return touchdown and the half ends with a last second field goal by Bryant from 43 yards. As there is no scoring in the third quarter, we pick up in the fourth as Earnest Graham finds Alex Smith for a 3 yard touchdown. The Chiefs counter back with a 28 yard Connor Barth field goal but that isn't enough as Jeff Garcia finds Antonio Bryant for a 24 yard touchdown and follows that up with a 2 point conversion from a Garcia pass to Smith that ties the game at 27. After a defensive stand by the Buccaneers, Bryant lines up for a 34 yard field goal that would go through the uprights and give the win to Tampa bay 30-27.
