Chris Brown Ticket Information

Chris Brown’s style is a blend of R&B, dance, and hip-hop. His dance routines and catchy vocals have been compared to the likes of Usher and Michael Jackson, and he cites both artists as inspiration.

Brown taught himself to sing and dance at an early age and soon rose to musical fame, releasing a double platinum album in 2005 that hit number 2 on the Billboard 200, and has since earned a Grammy for Best R&B Album.

In 2009, Brown had an argument with his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, which ended in a physical altercation. Having grown up with an abusive stepfather, Brown stated “that’s not who [he is] as a person, that’s not who… [he wants] to be.”

In spite of this media setback, Brown continued to write music and tour regularly. Tickets to his live shows are priced from $100 to $1800, confirming his redemption and return to star status. Chris Brown is back in business, so get tickets now and see him live!

Chris Brown Bio

Chris Brown is an American R&B singer, actor and songwriter. Born on May 5, 1989 as Christopher Maurice Brown, the young star rose to fame worldwide as a teenager for his smooth, soulful voice and impressive dance moves. At just 19 years old, Brown also found infamy for a troubling episode in his personal life, the beginnings of a controversial reputation that has followed him ever since.

Born and raised in small-town Virginia, Brown’s musical talents became apparent to his family and friends at an early age. Brown’s first idol was Michael Jackson, whose smooth dancing style Brown began to emulate as a toddler. As the years passed, Brown taught himself to sing and exercised his newfound vocal prowess in the church choir and at talent shows in his hometown. However, his early years weren’t all about singing and dancing.

Chris Brown’s parents divorced when he was seven years old. He spent the remaining years of his childhood living in a trailer park with his mother and stepfather and hanging out with a group of his older male cousins. It was a rough-and-tumble life that Brown credits with forcing him to grow up quickly. This savvy would later help Brown handle his initial experiences in the music industry.

Brown was discovered by a talent scout in his hometown at just 13 years old. Two years later, in 2004, he was signed to record label Jive Records. In an interview, Brown says that moving to New York and dealing with music executives almost felt familiar. Being the underdog in a setting full of “wolves” helped him build on his already savvy street smarts.

As a first-time recording artist, Brown looked for inspiration from R&B legends like Ginuwine, Usher, James Brown and Sam Cooke during the recording process. He emulated their work ethic and their ability to cross new frontiers in music, and hoped to one day be their equal. With a tough work ethic and determination, Brown successfully recorded his first release.

His first album, “Chris Brown,” came out in early 2005 and was a chart-topping success. The album sold enough copies to go double platinum and was responsible for four singles that charted in the Top-10, including “Run It!” At only 16 years old, Chris Brown was becoming America’s biggest teen R&B sensation.

Brown put out his second album, “Exclusive” in 2007. Like “Chris Brown,” “Exclusive” went double platinum, and singles “Kiss Kiss,” “With You” and “Forever” individually reached #1 positions on the Billboard charts. Enjoying his newfound fame, Brown also began dabbling in acting. That year, he appeared in both TV shows and movies, including popular TV drama “The OC,” “Stomp The Yard” and “This Christmas.”

It was around this time that Chris Brown began to date fellow R&B superstar Rihanna. When both failed to appear at the 2009 GRAMMY Awards, rumors flew that Brown and Rihanna had been involved in a domestic dispute. Unfortunately, those rumors turned out to be true. At just 19 years old, Brown pled guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to six months of community service and five years of parole as punishment. He also underwent 52 weeks of anger management counseling and was found to have both bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Hoping to apologize and make amends with the public, Brown reflected on this episode in his life in TV appearances, saying it was a much-needed wake-up call that helped him mature as both a person and an artist.

In the years that followed, Brown struggled to avoid public scrutiny but had difficulties staying out of trouble. He served several months in jail for violating his parole, and was allegedly involved in separate fights with Drake and Frank Ocean, as well as a fatal gang-related shooting in which he was rumored to be the target.

Even though negative press never ceased to haunt Brown after his incident with Rihanna, he continued to release hit records. “Graffiti” came out amidst the media frenzy of 2009, but 2011 album “F.A.M.E.” earned Brown a GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Album at the 54th GRAMMY Awards, plus five more accolades at the BET Awards that same year. Chris Brown’s 2012 album “Fortune” debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts and included singles “Turn Up The Music” and “Sweet Love,” as well as “Don’t Wake Me Up.”

Through it all, Chris Brown has maintained a fiercely loyal fan base offline and online. What began as an official fan club on Brown’s website, “Team Breezy” now counts multiple millions of supporters on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram who are quick to defend the singer against negative rumors.

Brown released his long-awaited album, “X,” in late 2014 on RCA Records. Recorded in Los Angeles, the 21-track compilation features collaborations with an impressive roster of hot names in the R&B, rap and hip hop worlds including Lil Wayne, Tyga, Trey Songz, Usher, Akon, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Brandy, Jhene Aiko and Nicki Minaj, not to mention production work by hip-hop hit-maker Timbaland. The music of “X” is as difficult to peg as Brown is himself, containing a mosaic of R&B, electronica and soul beneath his smooth trademarked vocals. “Loyal,” the hit single off of “Fortune,” reached its peak at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

In his mid-twenties now, Chris Brown already has an impressive career behind him. In addition having that 2011 GRAMMY Award under his belt, Brown can also claim two #1 singles, eleven other singles that peaked above the tenth position and two #1 albums on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Altogether, Brown has sold more than six million albums and over 40 million downloads, with no sign of slowing down. In early 2015, Brown released his first collaborative album, called “Fan Of A Fan” with rapper Tyga and also completed a short tour with Trey Songz. Expect to see Brown on the road soon.
