The Spurs fought hard in the final minutes of the game to regain their two point lead and win the game. This was Greg Popovich’s 1,000th win, so he certainly had something to celebrate.

With Gregg Popovich resting after a medical procedure, Manu Ginobili had a throwback game while playing under former coach Ettore Messina for the first time in 13 years. Ginobili played very well in this game, scoring 28 points to lead his team to the win over the Pacers at the AT&T Center. The Spurs may have been down by 5 points at the end of the first half, but they went on a 16-2 run over the Pacers in the fourth corner to seal their victory. Ginobili wasn’t the only Spur to play well: Tony Parker scored 21 points for San Antonio, and Kawhi Leonard had 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The Spurs started off this game strong with an 11-0 run against the Pacers, which would prove to be a good foreshadowing for how the rest of this game would go. WIth this loss the pacers move out of the first place spot in the Eastern Conference, being replaced by Miami. Thanks to the hard work of Tony Parker, the Spurs were able to rack up a massive 26 point lead over Indiana before the game was over. Parker scored 22 points for San Antonio.
